My name is Maryann (last name omitted), I have been a
customer of Leisure Time's for the past 7 years. My purpose of writing
this letter is to let you know how happy I have been with the new
owner, Jay.
In life, when you had a bad experience - EVERYONE
hears about it. To the contrary, when there is a good experience, it is
rarely spoken about. In the past when I would go to Leisure Time, I
felt as if I was just a checkbook walking through the door and there
was no recognition that I was even a person. If that statement does not
make any sense, let me clarify- Selling was the main priority then as
now I feel that Leisure Time is a “customer service” and a
“satisfaction oriented” place now to go to. In the past if I would have
questions – I would feel as though I was bothering them. Now, when I
have a problem or a question I have no qualms calling and asking for
help. The staff is friendlier and the overall aura of the place is
wonderful!
I had a pool when I was living in Wyoming, MN and my
filter needed to be replaced. I contacted Leisure Time (before Jay took
over) and had so many questions of what to buy, how it would work and
the cost of the product. I felt dumb calling as I would get a response
like “Oh god, it is her again”. Finally I was told this is the product
we can get you for the price you can afford – just call me back if you
decide you want to buy it. (In so many words) I was actually devastated
and felt like an idiot. Since I was a single mom and did not have the
time to go to a pool store that was much further away, I ended up
purchasing a sand filter from Leisure Time. When it arrived I picked it
up and went home to attack the task of trying to figure out something I
knew nothing about. I called a couple times with questions, then gave
up and just sought out a friend to help me figure it out. I went by the
instructions and immediately had problems- it was spitting sand back in
the pool ALL THE TIME! I called them, I brought it back and they “set
it up and let it run – and had no problems with it”. I went back to get
it. Put it back on my pool and had a sandcastle in the pool within
hours. I brought it back again, which they “replaced parts” and “ran it
again” it was “fixed”. They came out this time, set it up and of course
sand was spitting out again. I gave up and ran with a pool that had a
filter that did not work. Eventually, vacuuming the pool over and over
with sand just ending back in the pool by the end of the day- and in
process of selling my home, I called Leisure Time back. WOW WAS I
SURPRISED! The phone conversation was immediately different! They told
me there was a new owner and he would call me back. Jay called and I
explained the situation. I had purchased a new sand filter and it still
did not work, and now I was in the process of selling my home- I could
not sell the home with a filter that did not work. They came out-
closed my pool down for me and took the sand filter. I was in no hurry
to get it back; I just wanted one back – that worked. Jay was in
constant contact with me, letting me know what was going on and what
they were doing. I ended up selling my house that winter and gave the
new owners a letter from jay that he had the sand filter and when they
were ready they could come and pick it up.
Jay called again, after the new owners picked it up
and told me that they had replaced the sand filter and the new owners
were very happy with it – Just wanting me to be reassured they were
taken care of.
I actually ran in to an employee that works at
Leisure Time when I was up in Forest Lake and He went on and on about
how great it was working for the company now. He had actually left and
came back when there was a new owner and is very happy working there
now!
I now live in (omitted) and there are plenty of pool
stores much closer – but, next year when I can afford to put a pool in
– Jay, Leisure Time is who I will go with. As far as I am concerned you
go with the best- and the best is always someone who takes care of
their customers and really knows what the words “customer satisfaction”
means.
Anyone who dealt with the old “Leisure Time” is unfortunate if they do not go back to the “new and VERY IMPROVED” Leisure Time.
Thank you Jay!
Maryann
